Net Services is a group of services containing C-Names, A-Records, Web forwards and Web aliases.
Typically applied to subdomains: third (or higher) level, but can also be applied to the second level domain and wildcard functionality.

NIC (or Network Information Center) is a title often applied to an Internet domain name registry.
Primarily, a NIC has the authority to offer domain names within a particular TLD. Furthermore, it provides information, assistance and services to network users.
DK Hostmaster, for example, is the Danish NIC, offering domains within the .dk TLD.
